AAU Basketball
I have worked with AAU programs in the past but I know want to start my own, can someone with past experience give me some details of what I need to do. Thank you.

First go to www.aausports.org . The website has a page on how to start a team, step by step. Find your district to see what events you want to attend. You'll need players. If you don't know any, try the schools coach or post try-out in the local paper.

ya I just started my own aau team this year and have girls in grade level 7th to 8th and I got stared talking and emailing schools and having multiple tryouts until I fielded 10 girls for my team I also coach jv for ogden h.s., need any help let me know glad to help.

Whats the best way to get into AAU? i am really looking to coach in the states and i will jump at any opportunity that will take me.

Thanks for the info coach. I just want to be an assistant with a coach. i dont have the time or money right now to start my own sqaud. do you anyone who is willing to take a young outgoing coach?
