Hofstra Club Basketball

My name is Max Margulis and I am in charge of Hofstra Club Basketball. I am a senior electrical engineering student at Hofstra University and I founded the team a little over two years ago. Since the beginning, I have run every aspect of the team, both on and off the court. Now I am about to graduate and in need of a successor for the 2010-2011 academic year.

Unfortunately, Hofstra Club Basketball does not have a home gym to host practices or games. The team plays games on weekends against other club teams in the tri-state area and on weeknights at a nearby recreational league.

Job Responsibilities/Requirements:

Deal directly with the Recreation Center and Student Government Association (SGA)
Handle all finances
Schedule games
Arrange transportation to/from games
Keep track of results
CPR/AED certification
Coach the team on gameday

This is a volunteer coaching position. There is a roster and an infrastructure in place, all important contact information will be provided, and a budget will be available as well.

Whoever takes over Hofstra Club Basketball will be given a championship team to run from top to bottom. The current roster includes four talented freshmen, three sophomores and four experienced juniors. Also, there are plenty of students with high school basketball experience who have expressed interest, as well as an incoming freshman class that could provide more depth.
