Gary B. Jefferson's Coaching Profile

Profile Information

Los Angeles
Playing Experience
High School, NCAA D1, Professional
Concord Law School
Short Bio
Played a total of 1 1/2 years of High School Basketball after the development of a tumor and then only 1 year JV Basketball for CSULB. Last experience was two short separate stints in the Summer Pro League in approximately 1977 and again in 1981. FYI: the Summer Pro League was not equivalent to the D-Leagues of today. That is, although sponsored by the NBA and assigned NBA teams (Lakers twice for me) the teams were not NBA sanctioned.

Player Bio: Rudy Hackett - University of Southern California Official Athletic Site

Small world: Rudy and I were on the same Summer Pro League tryout team: The Lakers (1977 approximately). We won and Rudy was the MVP who got to play in the Summer Classic with the big boys. Rudy and Dr. J. led all scores with 31 and 32. All these years and I wondered what happened to him--didn't make the NBA so play......ed overseas. This was my first and worst audition as a comeback player (2 1/2 years playing 5 1/2 injured and being politically incorrect (lol).
