I have three solid guards looking to play on the Division One Level

I have three solid guards looking to play on the Division One level. They are getting interest from the D2 and D3 level schools, but ultimately they want to play on the D1 level. One guard Anjuwon Spence is 6'1", team leader in scoring for a 17-3 currently and a Championship team from last year and we are trying to repeat this year. He is getting offers from Hofstra for Football. The second guard I have is Luke Martin and is the point guard from the same team. He made all Division first team thi… Continue

Hi Jason, thanks for the comment. Our team will be very strong with a nice combination of inside and outside talent.

Try to see some of our games, our schedule should be on http://www.bostontrinity.org when ready.

Thanks.

Hi Jason,,, I coached last summer AAU, and then was just covering and writing some high school & college games. I did however put together a high school squad for a Hardwood Productions Memorial Day tourney. We didn't practice at all, and I had 6 players from four schools; I knew all of them, and had coached 4 of them before. They all know how to play, and then I just gave them some parameters on how I wanted to play, "if you MUST rest, rest on OFFENSE,,not defense!" and if a teammate makes a steal or is going for breakaway layup, your SPRINT to follow and EXPECT him to MISS the layup. [the ole breakaway full speed layup is not so easy all the time!]
We played five games in 2 days; the guys gained valuable experience, and we lost in the semifinals in double overtime,,,,after missing a point blank uncontested shot at the end of regulation. OUCH!!

Good luck Jason!

Congrats Jason! unfortunately we lost in the semis to a team we beat 3 times during the season. actually blew them out a couple times. we pretty much gave it away with turnovers at the end of the game. then we let the kid just go to the basket for a lay up to win it. so we lost by 1pt, its really sickning cause we had a good enough team to win it all but just didnt make the play down the stretch. will have a young team next season, but its back to preparing for next season!

Hey whats goin on Jason? As a coach we could always use some players. Right now we have a shortage of size here in OK. so if u have any size we have a place for them. Anyway thanks for the message, I currently coach high school as well. Head coach here at Booker T. Washington in Tulsa. How u guys do this season? Tomorrow we're playing for the area championship, if we take care business we'll go to the state tournament next week. so this is the fun time of year! take care, Shea
