Coach Mike Saylor is a graduate of Indiana State University where he played for former NCAA Division 1 Coach of the Year Bill Hodges and Indiana Basketball Hall of Famer Dave Schellhase. He was an assistant on Ron Green’s ISU staff, he was the head coach at La Universidad Autonama De Nuevo Leon in Monterrey Mexico and was an assistant to Indiana Hall of Fame Coach Pat Rady before being named the Head Coach at Terre Haute South in 2004. In only his first year as head coach he guided the Braves to their first ever 4A IHSAA Final Four appearance and has had three 18 plus winning seasons during the past five years which has never been done in Terre Haute history during the MIC years.
