Coaches, I really want to coach Men's basketball for my career.  However, is it worth it to take  a Women's graduate assistant position despite the fact that I want to solely be a Men's coach?  Will…

Pete Maravich Best White Player Ever?

I suppose I could loook it up.. But all of those years he averaged around 45 points a game, didn't he lead the nation in assists several years as well?

paying aau coaches

Obviously you need to charge families more if you're going to pay the coaches more. With an established program this is obviously a lot easier than a new program or a bunch of returning players who A…

Pete Maravich Best White Player Ever?

Greatest college player of all time.. And had he not died young, who knows how his NBA career would have turned out.

Watch the movie "The Pistol" .. Inspired me to be the player I was and the coach I will become. No doubt he was the greatest college player of all time and sure, I guess the greatest "white" player of all time if you want to call it that..

Maybe try getting to them on a more personal level? Talk to them individually on a 1 on 1 level and try to get deep with them. I am going to be in a similar situation in a few months with grade checks and class checks on my players. Hope that helps,…

Ryan, I'd hope you can get better advice from more experienced coaches than myself. However, I'd reccomend starting at a junior college. A lot of Jc's can use the help. It most likely won't be paid. AFter I graduated, I contacted 5 of the JC's in m…

I think we all wouldn't mind Lebron JAMES at our point guard position,lol.. but realistically, majority of the time our PG ISNt going to be the most athletic player on the floor.. I think he needs to be the smartest, quickest, be able to make great,…

Helping after season is over?

Coaches,
I am/was the student manager for my college team. My main, basically only, responsibilities, were to prepare the court before practice. Now that the season is over, and I am moving on next year, I am not sure how much I owe to stay around and help out now with NEXT year's team?

I told the Coach that I was going to be leaving next year since I will have graduated (I graduated this past december). He knows that I will not be around for next year. Starting today, the team for… Continue

I’m a Regional Scouting Associate, here in Maryland, for a company called C.H.A.M.P.S. Inc. based out of Atlanta, GA. C.H.A.M.P.S. stands for Collegebound High school Athletes Marketing & Placements Services. As you are aware there are many of these companies in the market place these days but I found C.H.A.M.P.S. to be unique, honest, reliable and trustworthy.

I become affiliated with C.H.A.M.P.S. and the Founder/CEO, Mark Gleason, through a networking site called Sports Marketing 2.0. Mark's story about how he got started in this business caught my attention because it all too often continues to repeat itself today; great athletes being overlooked and having to end their athletic careers prematurely, due to lack of exposure.

Mark and I hit it off and now we're looking to expand our area of operations and help as many aspiring high school athletes as we can. As you will read, from some of the parents testimonials, C.H.A.M.P.S. provides a unique service, in that, we work in a one on one capacity with the parents and the student athlete, are in constant contact, coaching, consulting, advising and assisting our clients throughout the entire recruiting process.

For many parents and athletes alike, this process is simply overwhelming. C.H.A.M.P.S. having gone through the process many times, helps make the process less complicated, by educating the parents and the student athlete on what to do, say and expect next; as I said before, we are there throughout the entire recruiting process.

Thanks, for your time and consideration. If we can be of service to you or anyone you know please contact me. I'd be glad to speak to parents, booster clubs, coaches, etc. about the NCAA Eligibility Center's Requirements, the Recruiting Process and C.H.A.M.P.S.
