Turns out getting busted in the balls while attempting to take a charge was the best thing that could of happen to a prep school player from southern California. Lingering swelling and pain from the incident sent him to the doctor office where he was diagnosed with testicular cancer. Rather then spending the following months chasing a D1 scholarship he was forced to refocus on beating cancer. Fortunately, he won and is now playing D2 ball at California Baptist University. I will go as far as to say this is the best story I have ever read pertaining to a basketball player getting a knee in the groin.
