was working for the Seattle Supersonics as a Director of Broadcasting, which sounds like a pretty cool job to me, when he decided to cut loose and chase his dream of becoming a professional coach. He kicked around in a few different roles and leagues including volunteer gigs under Lorenzo Romar at Washington University and multiple stops with semi-pro and professional teams across the world. He chronicles his journey coaching college, pro and semipro teams across the Northwest, China, and Jamaica in his new book "If I was named Phil Jackson....would you read this?" - catchy title in my opinion. Here's an article about his path to professional coach
. Kind of an interesting read.
