This position supervises a graduate extern, and student employees/game-day staff. In addition, this position provides support for the ticket sales staff ensuring accuracy of ticket transactions, coordination of group sales, and inventory management. This position facilitates the processing and fulfillment of season tickets working closely with the printing vendor to ensure timely delivery of football, men’s basketball and women’s basketball tickets.
This role represents the Athletics Ticket Office at all home sporting events and select away sporting events, while providing excellent customer service. In addition, this position coordinates ticketing for all football and men’s basketball away games and postseason events working closely with the Temple Owl Club to allocate seating in conjunction with their priority points program. The individual will work closely with various internal constituencies (President’s Office, Alumni Relations, University Development) to fulfill any special ticket requests and is the primary contact to coordinate complimentary admission for the student-athlete and coaches complimentary tickets for men’s basketball, women’s basketball, and football adhering to NCAA requirements.
The position maintains internal controls to ensure proper accounting procedures; generating reports with supporting documentation relative to sales, revenue, and inventory; maintaining accurate bookkeeping documents and deposits all ticket receipts; and handling reconciliations during/after the season.
The Assistant Athletics Director of Ticket Operations position is responsible for driving a continuous process of improving in ticket operations, while adopting new technologies as appropriate. This role works with other offices within the Athletics Department and the University to promote sales and attendance as well as ensure compliance with all University, State, AAC, and NCAA regulations. The Assistant Athletics Director of Ticket Operations also performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree. At least three years of post-undergraduate experience in ticket operations preferably in collegiate athletics. Previous background with Paciolan and/or Ticketmaster Archtics ticket software.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Demonstrated competence with the Microsoft Office package.
- The ability to manage several tasks and/or projects simultaneously, to process day-to-day transactions in an accurate and timely manner.
- Strong organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and a commitment to customer service.
- Demonstrate a proven track record in sales and building quality relationships.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong integrity and character who shares a commitment for knowing and complying with NCAA, Conference and University rules.
- Master’s Degree.
- Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop software.
