The University of Virginia’s College at Wise invites applications for an Asst. Coach, Women’s Basketball. Located in the mountains of Southwest Virginia, UVA Wise is a NCAA Division II school and a member of the South Athletic Conference. This position will work with the Head Women’s Basketball Coach to conceptualize and develop practice and game day plans; study opposing teams to identify weaknesses and avenues for success; explain and enforce rules and regulations to protect student athletes, and ensure that policies and procedures are followed; monitor the conditioning and training of student athletes; support the academic requirements of student athletes; assist with coordinating and performing various administrative tasks; and other duties as assigned.

A Bachelor’s degree is required, along with previous coaching experience, preferable at the college level. Work is performed in the process of coaching student-athletes within a sports program.
