Assistant Women's Basketball Coach | Albright College

Albright College, a liberal arts college in Reading, PA, is seeking applications for the position of Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach. This full-time position, assists head coach, who is also the Athletic Director, with day to day operations of the program; on court coaching responsibilities; off campus and on campus recruiting; oversee use of Front Rush; film breakdown and scouting report preparation; skill development of players; oversee the Academic Studies program; assist with the summer basketball camp operations and all other duties as assigned by head coach.

Essential Job Functions: 1.Assist head coach with day to day basketball on floor coaching. 2.Recruit prospective student athletes on and off campus. Evaluate player talent for recruits. 3.Organize recruiting communications and campus visits. 4.Set up and monitor student athlete academic sessions. 5.Upload game film, breakdown game film and prepare scouting reports (both video and text). 6.Assist with program fundraising. 7.Assist with planning and implantation of summer basketball camps. 8.Maintain team social media pages. 9.Other duties as assigned.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and physically show examples of basketball movements. May be asked to stand for two hours at a time.

Work Environment: The individual is routinely exposed to indoor conditions, minimum outdoor weather and temperature extremes, and moderate noise level.

Qualifications/Prerequisites: 1.COMMUNICATION: a.Must have excellent written and oral communication skills. b.Knowledge of social media platforms and ability to maintain team pages.

2.SKILLS: a.Playing and/or coaching basketball necessary.

3.EMPLOYMENT EXPERIENCE: a.Coaching experience at high school or college level.

4.EDUCATION: a.College degree or equivalent required.

5.LICENSES: a.Drivers license required. b.Child clearances required.
