Responsibilities
The candidate is expected to have an in depth knowledge of basketball technique, strategy and play design, and a general understanding of NCAA and OAC regulations. We are committed to the Division III vision of enabling the academic and career success of our student athletes. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to: travel, scheduling, fundraising, oversight of graduate assistant coaches, and public relations. The position may also involve secondary administrative and physical education responsibilities within the department.
Qualifications
Further, the ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in accelerating the academic performance and matriculation of student athletes, excellent leadership both in recruitment and retention of student athletes, and a solid performance record.
A bachelor’s degree is required; prior college coaching experience is preferred.
