Candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to the academic success of student-athletes, show the ability to recruit, develop and motivate quality student-athletes, possess good communication and leadership skills, strong computer and writing skills, and a knowledge of and commitment to all university, conference and NCAA regulations. A bachelor’s degree and the ability to demonstrate a solid background in the game of basketball from either collegiate playing or coaching experience, including the ability to teach and develop talent and understand offensive and defensive systems, are required.
