Position Summary: The Director of Game Presentation and Fan Experience directs all aspects of in-game entertainment and fan experience for ticketed sports, with a primary focus on football and men’s basketball.
This position serves as the gameday producer responsible for the management and direction of all in-game elements and promotions, fulfill corporate partner agreements, and oversee gameday staff, including videoboards operators, DJ, Emcee, spirit squads, gameday staff, and more based upon event. Outside of these responsibilities, this position assists with the game presentation of women’s basketball, volleyball, and baseball as needed, among other non-ticketed sports.
The Director directs and orchestrates the game presentation and enhancing the overall fan experience at Tulane athletic events to increase audience engagement through creativity and innovation. The position engages and entertains our audience by producing exciting, unique, and memorable experiences, with a goal of creating emotional connection between the fans, the teams, and the student-athletes.
The Director books anthem singers and halftime entertainment. This position works across departments for recognitions, which include but are not limited to Hall of Fame, Letterwinners and Senior Days. This position increases attendance and drives revenue at games through collaboration with the entire external team.
The Director supervises and manages two graduate assistants, and a team of student workers to ensure that all efforts result in increased attendance, a better fan experience, and more engagement at athletic contests and an enhanced atmosphere for our fans.
Function: Manage and enhance gameday entertainment and fan engagement for all Tulane Athletic Events; develops scripts and in-game entertainment for all assigned sports and other events as necessary; maintains and oversees videoboard content load in and management of Daktronics relationship; lead the efforts for all aspects of in-game presentation and fan experience; enhances overall fan experience at athletic events and books halftime talent, Anthem singers and other in-game entertainment. (50%)
Function: Oversees and manages graduate assistants, interns and gameday staff; manages and schedules game day staffing; coordinates with the Tulane spirit squads; hires and trains gameday staff as needed; manage DJ, Emcee, PA, Mascot and any other gameday point of contacts; assists and assigns work to graduate assistants for various sport oversight and serve as a leader for the staff in the absence of the Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing. (20%)
Function: Oversees all on campus marketing and local community engagement efforts; responsible for all on campus marketing activations to advertise upcoming events and engage the Tulane student body and assists with the coordinate and scheduling of community engagement events and involvement. (15%)
Function: Organizes and provides strategies for additional revenue generating ideas for the department; brings new ideas and suggestions for other avenues of revenue generation through theme games, giveaways and ticket promotions and collaborates with other external units to drive revenue. (10%)

Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 3 years of experience in marketing, promotions, and/or game presentation
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 9 years of experience in marketing, promotions, and/or game presentation
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities/Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of Daktronics videoboard systems, Display Studio and Show Control.
- Knowledge of audio software programs
- Knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, primarily Photoshop
- Basic knowledge of technical equipment such as soundboards, wireless mics, etc.
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to interact effectively with coaches, administrators, student athletes and vendors
- Extremely organized, self-starter, intrinsically motivated
- Strong organizational, management and leadership skills
- Proficient computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets
- Proven ability to multi-task effectively
- Ability to prioritize assignments and meet deadlines
- Available to work flexible work schedule including nights and weekends
- Through knowledge of NCAA and American Conference rules and regulations
- Master’s Degree
- Experience at the Division I intercollegiate level
- Management experience
- Familiarity with game operations duties and responsibilities
Ensures that all Department of Athletics and University related activities operate in full compliance with university, conference, and NCAA rules and regulations. Attends and participates in scheduled compliance seminars and complies with all the Athletic Department’s efforts to monitor compliance with NCAA regulations. Seeks interpretations from the compliance staff before acting when necessary. Reports potential rules violations immediately. Completes required compliance paperwork in a timely and efficient manner. Monitors all of their areas and/or programs activities closely to maintain compliance with applicable rules and regulations.
