The Naval Academy Athletic Association has an immediate opening for an Assistant Coach of Women’s Basketball and Director of Strength and Conditioning/Player Development. The position is responsible for the overall development of the women’s basketball program. Specific duties include incorporating an innovative strength and conditioning plan as well as oversight of the athletic trainer and nutritional development of our student-athletes. This position will also require the candidate to potentially travel for recruiting purposes on an as needed basis

The successful candidate will also assume the responsibility for administrative operations, team travel, game day preparations, and assist with the coordination of recruiting logistics. The candidate will preferably be a Certified Professional Strength and Conditioning coach. The qualified candidate will have three or more years’ experience coaching at the college level. The candidate shall demonstrate the ability to pay attention to detail, enjoy problem solving, and perform duties as assigned. The successful candidate shall also possess excellent writing and communication skills. The candidate shall demonstrate a strong work ethic, be organized, be flexible, and communicate extremely well in writing and through technology.
