Southern Illinois University Carbondale is an NCAA Division I member of the Missouri Valley, Missouri Valley Football and Mid-American Conferences. We are currently seeking a Head Coach – Women’s Basketball.
Responsibilities: The head coach is responsible for all aspects of the women’s basketball program, including recruitment of qualified student-athletes; promoting the welfare and academic progress of student-athletes; practice and game preparation; budget management; scheduling and scouting; participating in fundraising and public relations activities and departmental meetings; performing the daily administrative duties of the program; supervision of assistant coaches and the overall administration of a Division I women’s basketball program in accordance with institutional, NCAA, and MVC rules. Must pass NCAA off-campus recruiting exam.
Appointment: Full-time, salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree; thorough knowledge and understanding of NCAA rules and regulations; technical knowledge of women’s basketball and the demonstrated ability to apply that knowledge; college coaching experience and demonstrated recruiting ability.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience as an NCAA Division I Head Coach or significant relevant coaching experience, demonstrated success in competition, and recruiting ties to the Midwest.
