The Head Men’s Basketball Coach at Cameron University, an NCAA II institution in the Lone Star Conference is a highly responsible and demanding position. The University has a winning tradition in athletics and is strongly supported by the local community. Coaching duties will be performed under the general supervision of the Athletic Director. The Head Men’s Basketball Coach will be responsible for the development and implementation of a high-quality collegiate athletic program which is in conformity with NCAA and University rules, regulations, and policies. Duties include, but are not limited to: on-floor coaching during practices and competitions; recruiting student athletes; administers scholarship program; develops schedules for the University’s men’s basketball team; develops budget within allocated institutional resources and manages expenditures of funds within developed budget; performs fundraising for men’s basketball program and athletic department; assures the academic success for program’s student athletes; supervises professional and student assistants; and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s Degree; college and/or head high school coaching experience; strong interpersonal and communication skills; demonstrated organizational and management ability.

Preferred Qualifications:   Master’s Degree with coaching experience at the collegiate level.
