Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. Three (3) years basketball coaching experience. Exceptional knowledge of basketball rules and coaching. Supervisory experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s Degree from an accredited institution. Three (3) years coaching basketball at the collegiate level. Must be CPR certified or have ability to obtain within 90 days of hire date.
Acceptable eyesight (with or without correction), Acceptable hearing (with or without hearing aid), Ability to communicate orally and in writing, Lifting and carrying, Reaching, Climbing, Walking, Standing, Bending, Stooping, Ability to do facility set-up by climbing stairs, ladders, and moving moderately heavy equipment. Must be able to lift items of 50 lbs. or less.
Ability to use hands to operate a computer keyboard, telephone and other basic office equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear and use a phone, and some travel, by vehicle, may be required. Reading, writing, calculating, social interaction skills, strong management and organizational skills, reasoning/analysis, ability work with minimal supervision, high degree of problem-solving, decision-making, and high degree of interpersonal skills is required. Work is routinely performed in an office environment, in gymnasiums and in indoor/outdoor athletic facilities. Hiring process includes ability to pass a background check, a valid U.S Driver’s license, and a good driving record to qualify to drive college vehicles.
