George Mason University Director of Women’s Basketball Operations

The George Mason University, Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is seeking a Director of Women’s Basketball Operations to assist the Head Coach.

Responsibilities:
Travel: Anticipating, preparing, planning and organizing all aspects of travel related to the Women’s Basketball team; as well as all issues for visiting teams, to include but not be limited to: practice schedules, equipment requirements, supplies, and any and all related necessities.
Facility Schedules: Coordinate all information and details with all appropriate staff to include the Patriot Center staff, Event Management staff, etc.
Budget Control: Process and monitor budget expenditures, handle credit cards and cash, order clothing/equipment (this includes inventory and purchasing of nutritional items), and accurately complete an inventory and check out procedure.
Championship Arrangements: Assist in athletic event management and special projects as needed; and be responsible for all A-10 Championship details.
Video Coordinator: Responsible for all video aspects of our program including but not limited to filming of practice and games; and scouting and video uploading for A-10 requirements.
Community Service Coordinator: Responsible for coordinating and scheduling all of our community service endeavors.
Managers and Practice Players: Responsible for recruiting and managing all of our student managers and practice players including paperwork, communication, and all assigned tasks.

Required Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree; and collegiate basketball playing experience and/or previous work experience in the basketball profession.

Preferred Qualifications:
Excellent communication and organizational skills, knowledge of collegiate athletic budget processes, and video technology skills necessary for producing scouting and practice tapes.
