Primary Responsibilities
- Plans, directs and administers all aspects of the men’s basketball program including fiscal management
- Coaches, recruits, and provides academic oversight for student-athletes
- Supervises staff
- Ensures compliance with University, NCAA, and OVC rules and regulations
- Promotes Southeast Missouri State University and the athletics program through community involvement, public relations and fund raising under the direction of the Director of Athletics
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Progressive collegiate men’s basketball coaching experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to NCAA rules and regulations
- Demonstrated ability to actively recruit and attract qualified student-athletes to campus
- Demonstrated ability to motivate student-athletes academically and athletically
- Demonstrated budget management experience
- Demonstrated ability to work successfully with students, faculty, community and media
- Experience in development and administration of summer camps and clinics
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of customer service
- Demonstrated commitment of working with multi-cultural populations and awareness of issues affecting women and minorities
