University of Notre Dame Operations Specialist, Women’s Basketball

The University of Notre Dame ( is accepting applications for a Operations Specialist, Women’s Basketball.

Handle much of the administrative work for the women’s basketball coaching staff. Represent the women’s basketball program within the athletics department on all matters related to ticketing, digital media, marketing/promotions, and external affairs(e.g., Alumni, Development, Monogram Club, Notre Dame Sports Properties). Serve as point person between WBB program and community to include organizing and implementing community service events for coaches and student-athletes. Assist with implementation of special events related to WBB program. Coordinate with local alumni clubs and Monogram Club to implement meals, donations and other activities. Oversee all aspects of team travel, including transportation (ground transportation, charter flights, commercial flights), hotel, meals, local practice times and locations, and team entertainment. Review and assist student manager with creating and distributing team travel itineraries and completion of travel expense reports. Coordinate travel for conference and NCAA championships, and serve as liaison to conference and NCAA representatives for both tournaments. Implement consistent and creative use of social media (Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Spotify, etc.) on behalf of the WBB program. Work with departmental summer camp office to secure dates and facilities for multiple summer camps. Advertise camps and ensure high attendance at all camps. Coordinate hiring of camp counselors. Attend and coordinate logistics for all camp sessions. Coordinate logistics related to prospective student-athlete official and unofficial visits. Produce recruiting mailers upon request. Oversee day-to-day activities of personnel and equipment managers.

Bachelor’s degree required. Must possess creativity; strong interpersonal skills; strong communication skills, both written and verbal; be detail oriented; passionate about women’s basketball and the success of the program. 1-4 years of previous, related work experience or equivalent essential. Must understand social media platforms and be able to communicate well through social media to reach multiple audiences. Must be be willing to work evenings and weekends. Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations required.

Photoshop skills strongly preferred.
