Privacy Policy

HoopCoach Playbook ("we", "us") lets coaches create, save, and share basketball plays and drills. This page explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

Account information — name and email address when you register.
Plays and drills you create — diagrams, movements, tags, and coaching notes you save.
Optional audio recordings — if you record narration for a play (Pro feature), the audio file is stored so it can be played back with that play.
Practice plans — segment names, durations, and notes you enter.
Payment information — if you subscribe to Pro, payment is processed by our payment provider (Braintree/PayPal). We do not store your full card number.
Usage data — standard technical data such as browser type and pages visited, collected via Google Analytics, to understand how the app is used.

How we use this information

To provide the core service: saving, loading, and displaying your plays, drills, and practice plans.
To operate your account, including login and password resets.
To process Pro subscription payments and manage billing.
To improve the app based on aggregate usage patterns.
To send account-related email (e.g. password resets). We do not sell your email address.

Sharing plays and drills

Plays you mark as public may appear in the play library and be viewable, copied, or collected by other coaches. Plays marked private are visible only to you. You control this setting for each play you create.

Third-party services we use

Amazon Web Services (AWS) — hosts audio recordings and sends account emails.
Braintree / PayPal — processes Pro subscription payments.
Google Analytics — anonymized usage statistics.
Google AdSense — displays ads to free users on some pages of the website (not shown inside the installed app).

Each of these providers has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data on our behalf.

Data retention and deletion

We retain your account, plays, and practice plans for as long as your account is active. To request that your account and associated data be deleted, contact us at the email below.

Children's privacy

HoopCoach Playbook is intended for coaches and is not directed at children under 13. Player accounts, where used, are created and managed by a coach or team administrator.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
