Ramah Sports Academy (RSA) is a Jewish overnight summer sports camp located on the campus of Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, PA, for children and teens with a passion for athletics and a desire to elevate all aspects of their game. With experienced coaches, caring role models, state-of-the-art athletic facilities, and a wide range of electives, RSA is the perfect mix of elite sports instruction, joyful community, and inspiring Jewish living. The camp season is from mid June through early August 2022. We offer instruction in Baseball, Basketball, Soccer, Volleyball, Swimming, and Tennis.. The Head Coach of each sport at Ramah Sports Academy is responsible for planning all sports practices, creating a thoughtful learning experience for campers, and leads all coaching and mentoring. The Head Coach must lead by example, and embody the mission and goals of RSA. The Head Coach is expected to be a teacher at heart, and consistently display enthusiasm, energy, and leadership. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: – Develop training, teaching methods, drills and game play -Supervise camp counselors who will serve as assistant coaches -Supervision of campers -Manage set-up and take down, multiple times each day -Responsible for safety, training, documentation, and support of campers -Be attentive to camper health concerns including hydration and injury prevention -Communicate camp values to campers including sportsmanship, leadership, fair play and more -Be a vital part of the camp leadership, lending support to other activities throughout the camp day as needed

EXPERIENCE:

-Coaching experience (high school level or higher)

-Sport specific certification preferred 

-Experience working with children, sports camp experience preferred

-Current Adult CPR & AED and Pediatric CPR Certification (required-training can be arranged)
