North Park University, a member of the nationally recognized College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin, would like to announce that applications are now being accepted for the full-time position of Women’s Basketball Assistant Coach. This twelve-month position is responsible for assisting with all phases of an NCAA Division III women’s basketball program including recruiting responsibilities as assigned, assisting with game and practice preparation, player training and development, scouting film breakdown and video exchange, fundraising, and other duties as assigned by the Head Women’s Basketball Coach.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

•Assists the head coach in the coordination of administrative areas of program management including, but not limited to, scheduling of games and practices, travel plans, and equipment oversight.

•Build and sustain positive relationships with student-athletes, parents, alumni, faculty, staff, and the campus community.

•Assist with all phases of competitive NCAA and CCIW compliant recruiting.

•Ensure a commitment to the academic success of basketball student-athletes, including monitoring academic performance, attendance, and social behavior.

•Co-direct all camp offerings, including planning, advertising, organization, and instruction.

•Develop and implement an on-going professional development plan as it relates to coaching in general, recruiting, and any assigned specialty area.

•Complete other duties as assigned by the Head Coach, Assistant Vice President for Athletics and Sport Management, and Associate Athletic Directors.

QUALIFICATIONS:

•A bachelor’s degree is required.

•Applicants must be able to work an untraditional work schedule (i.e. frequent nights and weekends).

•A personal commitment to North Park’s mission of Christian higher education.

•Coaching experience and extensive knowledge of the sport of basketball at the intercollegiate level are required.

•Experience working with Synergy and Hudl preferred.

•A valid driver’s license is required.
