Women's Basketball Graduate Assistant Coach | Southwest Baptist University

Southwest Baptist University is seeking a highly motivated and energetic individual to serve as graduate assistant for the women’s basketball team in Bolivar, Missouri. SBU is an NCAA Division II program that competes in the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC). The Graduate Assistant Coach will work under the leadership of Head Coach Kelsey Keizer and Associate Head Coach Brittney Dukes.

The graduate assistant will assist with all aspects of the program. Specific duties will include management of team travel, social media, academic monitoring, film upload and breakdown, recruiting assistance, fundraising assistance, implementation of team and individual workouts, and other duties as assigned.

A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and acceptance into a master’s program at Southwest Baptist University is required. Seeking candidates with prior college playing experience as the NCAA level.

Benefits: Graduate Assistant Position includes a tuition waiver for 12 credit hours per year and a stipend of $7,500. No housing or board will be provided.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Prior college basketball playing or coaching experience. Candidate is expected the represent values that align with Southwest Baptist University’s core principles and expectations.

Position Expectations: Job begins August 2021. Non-traditional hours, 5-6 days per week, morning, night, weekends to be expected. Position includes physical working conditions on the basketball court and in the athletics weight room. Preferred skills include the use of Microsoft Excel, Synergy Web Editor, Adobe Photoshop, and the management of multiple Social Media platforms.
