Syracuse is a zone offense(I have no idea why that is the name the Hoop Coach Playbook user chose but I see the irony) that uses a weak side wing to flash the high post instead of a post player. The offense is nothing fancy but it checks all the boxes of an effective zone…
We use this zone offense against zone defenses or match-ups that over extend and make wing entries difficult. It’s a very simple offense but it causes the defense to line up differently then they would chose if left to their own devices. The offense is good for exploiting the high post and short corners…..which I suppose…
