Quality play out of a horns set. The play is initiated by entering the ball to one of the “horns”. There is a UCLA cut, flex screen and a dribble hand off with a staggered screen for the ball handler. Really nice play in my opinion. You will want to take a look at the…
Great clinic video with former San Antonio Spurs Assistant and current Associate Head Coach of the Chicago Bulls Jim Boylen talking through the process of building a championship defensive system. Man to Man Baseline Out of Bounds with an elevator door screen to get a shot on the wing and a pin down screen for the inbounder if the initial cutter does not have a shot. The baseline out of bounds play sets up like the image with the 5 on a block, the 2…
Man Baseline Out of Bounds play that starts in a sort of “offset box”. The BLOB has a corner screen for a shooter type and a screen the screener action for a big to roll back to the ball. I feel the “offset box” gives the play a little bit better spacing and also…
Man quick hitter to get a post up on the block. The animation uses a skip pass to setup the play but I imagine a quick ball reversal would do just as well. The play starts in a 3 out 2 in set The 1 enters to the 3 and the 4 flashes to the high…
